This spring at Hartwell Place has been full of fun activities and outings.
In February, Hartwell Place residents and team members took a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago. One of the best parts about being in Chicago is taking advantage of the museums and cultural institutions across our beautiful city.
In March, we couldn’t wait any longer to enjoy spring flowers and warm air. While it was still jacket-weather in Chicago, the Hartwell Place community visited the Garfield Park Conservatory. We enjoyed the colorful sights and sweet smells.
On Monday, April 8, residents, their families, and team members gathered in the Hartwell Place courtyard with eclipse glasses to view the solar eclipse. While Chicago was not in the path of totality, the Hartwell Place community did witness about 94% coverage.
When we aren’t on the road, CMSS team members and volunteers create engaging programming for residents to enjoy in the activity room.
Now that the weather is getting nicer, our team and residents are happy to go for more walks, enjoy the fresh air, and snap a few selfies!
