We’re thrilled to announce Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) has acquired Western Suburban Senior Services (WSSS) of Bellwood, Illinois.
WSSS is a nonprofit that’s been providing support for thousands of older adults in the Bellwood area since 1972. WSSS’ programs include Adult Day Services and programming for LGBTQ members of the community.
“We’re looking forward to bringing our mission of improving quality of life for older adults to those in the Bellwood area,” Bill Lowe, President and CEO of CMSS, said. “We’re excited to expand our reach beyond the Andersonville area and support older adults in western Chicagoland.”
CMSS will be continuing WSSS’ Adult Day Wellness Services, which offer older adults day-to-day care, companionship and opportunities to socialize. CMSS will also continue WSSS’ events focused on the needs and support of LGBTQ seniors in our communities. To develop these events, WSSS partnered with SAGE, the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ seniors. CMSS is thrilled to continue to promote inclusivity and equality through these events each month.
CMSS plans to expand WSSS’ services with additional arts, music and life enrichment offerings for older adults in the Bellwood area.
