Libertyville Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank, has provided generous support to CMSS’ programs and services since 2012. Libertyville Bank & Trust is one location in Wintrust’s system of 175 locations. Wintrust was founded in 1991, in a northern Chicago suburb with a simple idea: to provide an alternative to the big banks.
CMSS is just one of the many community-based organizations and non-profits that Wintrust supports and invests in. Across Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan, the Wintrust logo, indicates its support of services, activities, programs, and educational efforts.
When hearing the Wintrust name, Chicagoans may first think of The Wintrust Mural Building on the west side of the Kennedy (I- 90). Below a small water tower painted with a Chicago flag, drivers pass a three-sided mural. The artwork rotates periodically, to represent and promote Chicago’s non-profits. The mural walls are just one of the ways Wintrust helps local organizations raise awareness about their impact. From the Chinese American Service League (CASL), to Big Shoulders, to the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, organizations representing many important causes and missions have been honored with a moment on the walls. In addition to the Mural Building, Wintrust provides financial support to many organizations across the city and state. Wintrust prides itself on going beyond donating by encouraging its staff, customers, and stakeholders to take action to make a difference in the community.
