Spring Benefit 2019: Did We Meet Our Fundraising Goal?

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Spring Benefit Brunch in April to celebrate 121 years of Chicago Methodist Senior Services’ mission! We had a great day of browsing raffle items donated by wonderful organizations across Chicago, enjoying a performance from the Civic Fellows of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and learning about the new therapeutic music and wellness program, Sounds of Healing.

We’re most excited to announce that we reached our fundraising goal of $100,000! Thanks to your generous donations, we can bring the physical, emotional and social benefits of music to resident care and programming with Sounds of Healing.

With Sounds of Healing, we plan to make a positive impact on the lives of residents, particularly those with memory loss, through:

  • Integrating music into personal care plans
  • Partnerships with local music organizations like Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Songs by Heart Foundation
  • Group music sessions
  • Room by room musical performances from local artists and national groups like Musicians on Call
  • …and much more

To learn more about Sounds of Healing and other programs and events at CMSS, remember to sign up for our email newsletter below.
