LGBT+ Program at West Suburban Senior Center

Our LGBT+ program serves LGBT+ older adults and allies in the western suburbs of Chicago. We believe it is vital to offer targeted outreach and services to LGBT+ older adults to promote equality and dignity in service delivery while also breaking down barriers that can limit access to needed services. We work to understand and meet the growing needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied communities in the western suburbs through outreach and programming delivered with knowledge, sensitivity, and pride.

Each month we collaborate with AgeOptions to host a Thrive with Pride Café. Thrive with Pride Cafés provide safe gathering spaces for LGBT+ older adults to socialize with peers and seek and offer support. AgeOptions provides its signature educational programming and services to our site, tailoring content to the needs and wants of our unique population.
